About
ZOZULKA is the artistic practice of Anastasiia, a Ukrainian artist, illustrator, and designer based in Poland.
My work explores memory, psychological states, and the emotional impact of lived experience. I work intuitively across illustration, drawing, digital media, and textile-based processes, allowing each medium to respond to a different inner or external narrative.
I am interested in how everyday objects carry personal and collective meaning, and how they can be reworked into visual forms that hold tension, softness, and story.
Practice
My practice moves between illustration, print, textiles, and object-making.
I use drawing, embroidery, and material interventions to reinterpret familiar objects and images. Each work becomes a space where personal experience, observation, and emotion meet.
Ties Project (2025)
The Ties Project is a series of hand-embroidered objects that explore identity, intimacy, and emotional expression.
Working with second-hand ties, I rework materials that already carry cultural and personal associations. Through embroidery, they shift from symbols of structure and formality into personal, intuitive narratives.
Each piece is unique — carrying traces of emotion, memory, and gesture.
ZOZULKA Today
ZOZULKA exists at the intersection of art and design — a practice that translates memory, emotion, and everyday material into visual and tactile forms.

ARTIST BIO
I am a Ukrainian illustrator and visual artist based in Poland, working across illustration, children’s books, and experimental mixed media.
My practice combines drawing, painting, digital techniques, and textile-based processes. I work intuitively, valuing freedom in drawing and the physicality of materials.
My work is rooted in personal and social experience — exploring psychological states, displacement, and the emotional impact of the world around me. Through symbolic and narrative imagery, I translate what I feel and observe into visual form.
I present my work in exhibitions and creative markets, where direct interaction and dialogue with people become an important part of my process.
Each illustration carries a part of me — my thoughts, emotions, and way of seeing.
